My passion is to help others be in their best body using Yoga, Pilates, and Nutrition 

because they helped transformed me. Let me tell you how.

How Yoga Transformed Me...

I was introduced to yoga by my cousin in 2000.  It was summertime so my allergies were horrible and I had just gone through a breakup so my energy was low while my mind was racing. She thought it best if I follow her to a yoga class where I was delighted to learn breathing techniques which helped me breathe through my allergies and meditation techniques to quiet my mind and be present. From then on I was hooked! Yoga helped transform my breathing, body, and mind by reducing my anxiety and asthma, improving my flexibility, reducing my back pain, and quieting my mind. After years of personal practice, I decided I would love to share yoga with others by becoming an instructor and pursued the 600-hour certification at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, AZ. Here I met amazing instructors that changed my life and helped me grow and transform into a leaner and calmer me.

How Pilates Transformed Me...

I was introduced to Pilates in the early 2000s through DVDs, yup DVDs. :) After doing mat Pilates consistently for a while, I found it significantly helped reduce the low back pain I suffered from (and continue to suffer from) after rolling my vehicle on black ice when I was 16.  After moving to Arizona in 2016, I was properly introduced to the Reformer at Club Pilates®  and fell in love with it because of the changes made to my body: strong, lean, and pain-free. For these reasons, I decided to pursue the 500 hour Club Pilates® teacher certification. The training for this certification showed me how to properly use a Mat, Reformer, Springboard, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, TRX suspension straps, and Magic Circle to lengthen and strengthen muscles throughout the entire body. 

How Nutrition Transformed Me...

 I became interested in learning about nutrition for my own benefit because of all my environmental, medicinal, and food allergies. After 200 hours of nutrition training, I have learned food can be used as medicine to help build and strengthen one’s immune system and overall well being. The nutrition education I received created awareness of my food sensitivities to dairy and gluten and by reducing them it improved my respiratory allergies and skin issues. It also informed me about the many reasons to eat organic: fungicides, pesticides, and herbicides being a few. I would love the opportunity to share the knowledge I gained about nutrition and help others with their nutrition goals by acknowledging eating habits, possible food sensitivities, and making realistic changes, not through dieting but self-awareness techniques and check-ins.
